Faktor Yang Memengaruhi Ibu Terhadap Pemilihan Tempat Persalinan Di Desa Aek Badak Jae

Abstract

In remote areas and far from the center of big cities, there are still many pregnant women who do not undergo ANC examinations so that it will have an impact on the delivery process. According to WHO 2018, only 40% of all births in some lower middle income countries are assisted by skilled health personnel. Based on data on deliveries in Aek Badak Jae Village, more than half of them delivered at home. Objectives: To determine the factors that influence postpartum mothers on the choice of place of delivery in Aek Badak Jae Village in 2020. Method: The design of this research is an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted in Aek Badak Jae Village, Sayurmatinggi District, South Tapanuli Regency in April-October 2020. The population in this study were 34 postpartum mothers in Aek Badak Jae Village, all of whom were used as research samples. Data analysis performed was univariate, bivariate analysis with sig-α 0.05 and multivariate analysis using binary logistic regression test. Results: Based on the results of research with the chi-square statistical test, it was found that the variable knowledge with p-value (0,000), family support with p-value (0,000), distance to health facilities with p-value (0.003). The results of multiple logistic regression tests showed that knowledge was the most dominant factor affecting the Exp (B) value of 22.329. Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge, family support, and distance to postpartum health facilities with the choice of place of delivery in Aek Badak Jae Village. It is hoped that all women of reproductive age will increase their knowledge of health education so that mothers can understand that the danger of childbirth is carried out at home if the labor condition is experiencing problems.
