Hubungan Pengetahuan dan Sikap dengan Kejadian Bendungan ASI di Klinik Bidan Aprina Manurung Pematang Siantar Tahun 2020

Abstract

Breastfeeding is very important because breast milk is the baby's main food. With breast milk, the baby will grow perfectly as a healthy human being, gentle and have a high IQ. The provision of colostrum and the correct breastfeeding process is a reliable means to build a quality generation. The general objective of this research is to find out whether there is a “Relationship of Knowledge and Attitude with the Incidence of Breast Milk Dams at the Aprina Midwife Clinic, Manurung Pematang Siantar in 2020. This study uses The research design is a quantitative research type with a descriptive analytic design using a cross sectional approach. Population The population in this study were all mothers who were breastfeeding at the Midwife Clinic Aprina Manurung Pematang Siantar as many as 95 people, with a total sampling technique of sampling. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the knowledge of breastfeeding mothers is 56 respondents (58.9%), positive attitudes are 52 respondents (54.7%), Odd Ratio results are 7.065, meaning that mothers who have good knowledge have 7 times the chance of not experiencing dam events. Breastfeeding compared to mothers who have less knowledge, the Odd Ratio result is 6.905, meaning that mothers who have a positive attitude have 7 times the chance of not experiencing breast milk dams compared to mothers who have a negative attitude. For health workers, it is expected that health workers, especially midwives, will have a better understanding of the process of forming breast milk so that midwives or other health workers are more patient in guiding mothers to apply correct breastfeeding techniques so as to improve services for postpartum mothers, especially for postpartum mothers who experience breast milk dams.
