Abstract

The postpartum period is an important time for health workers to monitor postpartum mothers, the implementation of which is less than optimal causes the mother to experience various problems. The puerperium lasts about 6 weeks or 42 days. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge and attitudes of mothers about breast care during the postpartum period in the work area of ​​Pustu Sitampurung, Siborong-Borong District in 2020. The type of research in this research is quantitative research with a cross-sectional study design that seeks to find relationships between variables by observing or measuring a population of 50 postpartum mothers in the work area of ​​Pustu Sitampurung, Siborong-Borong District in 2020. The results of research in the Pustu Sitampurung work area in 2020 are the majority of mothers who have good or positive knowledge and attitudes in caring for breasts. It is hoped that health workers should always provide counseling about the knowledge and attitudes of mothers about breast care during the postpartum period.
